Range and Ground Systems Engineering

 

INTERFUZE performs Range and Ground Systems Engineering for multiple MSFC test facilities including the Propulsion Test Areas, Material Combustion, Environmental Gas Lab, and Space and Environmental Effects Lab.

INTERFUZE provides systems engineering support to both the Space Systems Integrated Test Facility Support and Propulsion Test Support, including systems tests required for the development, qualification, and acceptance testing of components, subsystems, and integrated space systems.

We perform prototype and hardware/software development and test; ground support equipment development, checkout, and operation; test fixture design; fabrication and assembly; flight hardware assembly and integration; preparation and development of test plans and procedures; functional, performance, and environmental test and checkout operations; test data analysis; test reporting; test discrepancy resolution; post-shipment test and integration support; and flight operations and post-mission support.

Integrated Test and Evaluation

 

INTERFUZE installed, equipped, trained, and sustained five Global Network on the Move Active Distribution (GNOMAD) systems in support of the U.S. Army Rapid Equipping Force (REF).

The GNOMAD system — when coupled with UHF or VHF radios such as the Single Channel Ground Airborne Radio Systems (SINCGARS) and the Embedded GPS Receiver (EGR), Blue Force Situational Awareness — provides a direct feed to the ground forces Common Operating Picture (COP).

 

INTERFUZE successfully delivered on time and within budget ensuring all test events were successful and the REF could achieve their deployment mission.

Engineering Design and Development Support

 

INTERFUZE provides engineering expertise to design, develop, analyze, and sustain space transportation systems, payloads, and spacecraft. Engineers provided design and operational management of Marshall Space Flight Center’s (MSFC’s) Pressures and Propellants loading and transfer facility. 

INTERFUZE engineers and technicians provided in-house fabrication and handling crews for mechanical integration, assembly of flight hardware, motor installation, instrumentation, data collection, and test operations. 

INTERFUZE provides engineering design and analysis for hazardous operations, material safety, ignition combustion, flammability, liquid, gaseous oxygen mechanical impact, thermal vacuum stability, and toxicity. This included analysis of test setups, test procedures, and generated test data.

INTERFUZE is integrating and delivering Man-Portable Radiation Detection System (MRDS) prototypes that provide increased Radiological and Nuclear (RN) detection, localization, presumptive identification and field-confirmatory identification capabilities that are networked to provide situational awareness at the tactical level.

 

The MRDS prototypes are being built from technologically-advanced commercial components to demonstrate that they can provide the capabilities required by the warfighter.

 

In partnership with the government and industry partners, INTERFUZE is leading the development of future capabilities that support Reconnaissance and Surveillance across the full range of CWMD operations to systematically locate, secure, characterize and disable WMD programs and related capabilities.

Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance

 

INTERFUZE is responsible for providing Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance as well as Non-Personal Advisory & Assistance Services (A&AS) and Non- Advisory & Assistance Services (Non-A&AS) to Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command (HQ AFSOC at Hurlburt Field, FL.

 

Our services to the Special Operations Forces (SOF) include advice, assistance, training, and hands-on training (direct assistance) essential to research, development, production, operation, or maintenance necessary to ensure the effective use of weapon systems, equipment, and components for AFSOC organizations or activities.

 

INTERFUZE also provides information technology support, architecture design, and software implementation of web-based, commercial off-the-shelf software products.
